I shall review Developer.Mozilla to learn about Progressive Enhancement, and also rating and sharing my opinions about the website.
Progressive enhancement is a type of design philosophy that gives a starting point of essential content and the ability to function to as many web-users as possible. They're needed so that users are delivered the best possible experience to the modern browsers, and distribute functionality to other said users.
I went to the site's home page, and the design didn't stand out too much. I found it similar to W3School's homepage, but just like that one, everything is validated.
I went to the page that describes progressive enhancements next, and much like the homepage, it's quite drab, but still validated and scripted correctly.
A site like this can include many validation errors such as:
The actual design is bland. Nothing really else to say, as like I said, it kind of reminded me of W3Schools. 5/10 just a blend of "eh."
The functionality is great, you're given a generous amount of links to other key parts on other pages, and the search bar works well. Each site also has a side bar to give out more information. 8/10.
I'd say the site does a good job at meeting it's purpose, like W3, it's just meant to a simplistic information site, and it does a good job and doing that exact thing.
